This strength that we carry without ever naming it
The visit remains brief. No further grand speeches. A truth stated aloud, placed there, in the space of the living room.
Once the door was closed, something had changed. Not all at once. But the essential thing, yes.
True strength doesn't look like what we're shown:
— She gets up every morning even when her body resists. — She chooses gentleness where an explosion would be so much more natural. — She moves forward, without applause, without anyone really noticing.
That evening, feeling the baby move again, her thoughts finally settled. Not because she had changed. But because someone had said aloud what she had been carrying silently for months.
Sometimes we don't need to be given strength — we just need someone to remind us of the strength we've never stopped having.
