The record has been held since 2014 by the prolific Pete Glazebrook, a gardener specializing exclusively in giant vegetables. It weighs 9.1 kg!

We are indeed on Earth and not in an alien garden. Weighing in at 10.5 kg, this plant, grown by Paul Rochester, breaks all records. His secret? Recipes passed down by his father and also, he claims, the  Glenn Miller greatest hits album  he plays for them all day long.
