I lost my hearing in an accident — five years later, I finally heard my husband's voice, and what he said prompted me to file for divorce.
"And it's not my fault," I replied softly. "It's the result of your actions."
He stood there for a moment, rain dripping from his sleeves. I didn't flinch. I didn't apologize.
"Take care of yourself," I told her as I closed the door.
